Gas prices throughout the United States have continued to trend upward over the past several weeks, due to increasing oil prices. Similarly, while demand for gas has increased slightly, total domestic gasoline stocks decreased slightly, contributing to the rise in prices. As of July 21, the average price of gas per gallon in the United States is $3.587, only a penny more than a month ago, but 88 cents more than one year ago.
Here in New Hampshire the price of gas per gallon has fallen to $3.484, a 2 cent per gallon decrease compared to one month ago, and a $1 per gallon decrease from one year ago.
