The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report Friday, September 16 with preliminary unemployment and jobs data from August. According to the report, the national unemployment rate is at 3.7 percent which is .2 percent higher than July.
New Hampshire’s August unemployment rate was nearly two percentage points less than the national average at 2.0 percent. The state is tied for second lowest state unemployment in the country.
